Stan Lee Gets Street Named After Him in the Bronx

The City of the Bronx recently voted to rename University Avenue between Brandt Place and West 176th Street to become “Stan Lee Way”.  Lee grew up in the Bronx and attended DeWitt Clinton High School.

Stan Lee has become an icon part of geek culture and pop culture.  Non comic fans know Stan for his appearances in the MCU films.  His icon smile and declaration of “Excelsior!”

After his passing last year, Bill Maher made statements about how non-consequential Stan was since he only wrote funny books for kids.  The public responded with disdain for Maher stupid and insensitive comments.  Maher continued to double down on it.  Funny how someone of non-consequence now as a street named after him in New York.

Stay Geeky and Excelsior!
