March 20, 2015 is a very unique day for us on planet Earth. It is the first day of Spring. Our moon will be a Super Moon. The Earth will have a Solar Ellipse with the Super Moon.

A Super Moon is a full moon or a new moon when it is the closest approach to the Earth on its elliptical orbit. It results in the largest size of the lunar disk being seen on Earth. Another words, a Super Moon looks unusually large from our view point on Earth.

A Solar Ellipse is when the moon blocks out the sun with its orbit. This is an event that happens every few years so most people know what it is. The only problem with tomorrow’s Solar Ellipse will not be available to see in the United States. The Solar Ellipse will be visible in Europe. It will happen around 4:30 AM EDT/ 3:30 AM CDT.

What a really KOOL day. You combine the first day of Spring with a Solar Ellipse from a Super Moon. That is pretty awesome and Geeky KOOL!
