Science Channel to Air “Firefly: Browncoats Unite”

Firefly: Browncoats Unite
is the 10th anniversary special for the short lived Firefly television series.  It will air on November 11, 2012 @ 10 pm Central time on the Science Network.  They will have a Firefly Marathon on the Science Network prior to the broadcast of Firefly: Browncoats Unite.  (via Cinema Blend)

In my opinion, Firefly was the greatest television series ever.  The Fox Network only aired 10 of the 14 episodes and they were out of order.  Very few people watched the series when it first ran on Fox.

I was one of the original Browncoat fans.  I tuned into Fox faithfully for the premiere episode and every episode after during 2002.  I loved this quirky space western from the moment it premiered.  I was enthralled with all the unique characters from Captain “Tightpants” Mal to Jayne to Kaylee but my favorite character was Shepherd Book.  The writing was sensational and unique.

Earlier this week, one of my friends eagerly exclaimed that he is a new fan of Firefly and now full fledged Browncoat.  He and his wife finally watched the Firefly series and then the Serenity movie.  They are both hooked and finally understand our love (here at Geeky KOOL) for this awesome series.  He understands why some people have a disdain for Rupert Murdoch for canceling this show.

I wait with baited breath for Firefly: Browncoats Unite.
