According to reports, Marvel Studios will start filming the Black Widow movie on February 28.  Scarlett Johansson will reprise her role as
Natasha Romanova aka The Black Widow.

Cate Shortland is set to direct this film.  Jac Shaeffer is head writer for the screenplay.  It is expected in theaters some time in 2020.

Fans of The Black Widow and Scar Jo have been asking for this movie for almost a decade.  The Black Widow was introduced into the MCU back in 2010 with Iron Man 2.  It will be a decade by the time it hits theaters.

Rumors have this movie set as a prequel. It will be set in the mid 2000s.  This Soviet super soldier will be in the U.S.A. 15 years after the fall of the Soviet Union.  This action oriented film is rumored to be a fast paced spy thriller.  Ultimately, Romanova will join up with S.H.I.E.L.D. and become the hero we know and love

I am excited to finally get a stand alone Black Widow movie.  Marvel has missed the boat with this long ago but it isn’t too late to much up for it.
