Everyone knows the Sony is now playing nicely with Disney and Marvel to share the character of Spider-Man.  Many are familiar that Fox owns the rights to the X-Men and Fantastic Four characters for movies and television and they are not on good terms with Marvel and Disney.  But not many have thought twice about the Punisher, Blade and Ghost Rider movie rights.

According to I09, Marvel/Disney has regained the rights to vampire slaying Blade, the mob killing Punisher, and the supernatural Ghost Rider.

The Blade movies, especially the first two movies, did pretty well in the box office and were decent movies.  Both Punisher movies were less than spectacular.  The Ghost Rider movies had good moments but weren’t Nick Cages best performances.  No one is beating down the door for reboots of these series.

That being said, no one was beating down the door for a reboot of Daredevil when the rights reverted to Marvel. But that didn’t stop Marvel from making one amazing Netflix series.  In the right situation, we could see the return of these characters either to movies, as a part of a movie or television series, ie Avengers or Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.  There is no known plans for these characters but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Frank Castle (Punisher), Eric Brooks (Blade), or John Blaze (Ghost Rider) show up over the next few years.
