Jim Lee Sole DC Comics Publisher Chief Creative Office

Jim Lee was Co-Publisher of DC Comics along with Dan Didi0 from 2010 until just over a week ago.  Lee spotlighted a panel at C2E2 in Chicago over the weekend.  At his panel, Lee confirmed that he is he sole and only publisher at DC Comics with no plans to add a Co-publisher.  He stated he will be much more involved in the trenches with the comics going forward.

When Lee was asked about rumors of DC Comics ending or being sold to Marvel, Lee stated that DC Comics have been around 85 years and he sees them being around for at least another 85 years.  He went on to say that the comics are the engine that drives the rest of the media like the animated series, the TV shows, and the movies.

When asked about the 5G (Generation Five) project at DC Comics and if it would be a reboot, Lee verified there is no line wide reboot coming.  He declared it is difficult to address speculation about something that hasn’t even been announced.  According to Lee, they will continue to focus on stories that are character driven from the right paring of creators along with diverse new characters.

Lee was asked if there would be a Snyder Cut release of Justice League.  Lee talked around it and didn’t confirm nor deny a Snyder of the film.  It didn’t seem likely that a Synder Cut would be released to the public. Lee did ask for fans to stop being decisive with each other.  He stated no matter if you want a Synder cut or don’t want one, you are still a DC Fan in his book.
