Horror Society Gives “Stranger Happenings” Awesome Comparison

American Wasteland Entertainment
has received high praise and comparisons for their awesome web series, Strange Happenings.  The horror entertainment based website, Horror Society, referred to Strange Happenings as  “Buffy The Vampire Slayer meets Kolchak: The Night Stalker.” Considering the iconic status of both of these series, this is high praise for this webseries.

I completely understand their comparison.  The series does have a Kolchak feel to it as the main character, Nicole Tesla, investigates various unusual stories as a reporter. Tesla’s character and essence does have a very early Buffy feel  to it. Beyond the character and story similarities, I believe this series could be just as iconic as Kolchack and Buffy if horror/monster/ supernatural fans discover it.  The story, characters, and the videography, set this webseries up be the next Stranger Things if picked up by a streaming service like Netflix or Hulu.

Strange Happenings is nominated for the  best horror at Vancouver Webfest, is an official selection for Seoul webfest and has won Best Webseries and Best Production Team at Oniros Film Awards.

If you are horror/monster/ supernatural fan, you need to check it out ASAP.  Here is a link to their Youtube page where you can watch the first season for free.

American Wasteland Entertainment is raising capital for a second season with Werewolves.
