Take a veteran writer in Michael Taylor (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine,” “Star Trek: Voyager,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Virtuality,” “Caprica,” “Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome”) add in Rockne S O’Bannon (he of “Farscape” and “Seaquest DSV” fame), stir in some Julie Benz (she of Angel pedigree) and do you get a new hit?

Defiance is set in St. Louis after it and all other major cities are destroyed during an alien invasion and subsequent “universal war”.

You didn’t mention the interesting twist that they are launching the MMO game to go hand and hand with the show. The game will take place in San Francisco and the show in St. Louis but theywill share events and affect each other. The game will be on X-Box, PS3, and Computer based. This is very a KOOL addition esp for any gamer. They did not mention the cost of the game and if there will be a monthly fee.
