Calvin And Hobbes Turns 30 Years Old

Image via wall.alphacoders.com

Calvin and Hobbes is one of my top 3 favorite comic strips of all time. Back in the 80s and the 90s, I would read the paper daily. My first stop was always the comic page. Calvin and Hobbes was a must read from November 18, 1985 to the final strip on December 31, 1995. It only ran 10 year but they were a glorious 10 years of comic strips. How I miss the twisted humor from Bill Watterson.

Recently, Bloom County has come back. Berkeley Breathed’s began up his famous comic strip from the 80s. I read his daily strip every day on Facebook. I hold out small amount of hope that Bill Watterson will bring Calvin and Hobbes out of mothballs after Breathed brought back Bloom County but I won’t hold my breath.
